First week as ASC completed. Apple Shop and me in The Hague. What a week…!  Busy times, at least 55 active hours for me. Not bad right? Of course, loads of demo’s and loads of Macs passing the check-out. Wow! On the right track I suppose. Lots of things to consider. Many different customer experiences, learning from eachother. Felt great this week. Negative aspects? Hhmmm, the traffic: by car/train back and forth Rotterdam/The Hague……simply put: a real disaster. Takes you about 3 till 4 hours a day. Not so good. ———  Back at home, weekend now. Two days to spend. Planning Spacemusic audio productions/ updating Logic library and sounds. Next week the new podcast should be available. Loads of demo’s coming in as we speak. But first: we drink! To our Lives and Health. Thank you Apple, Thank you All!

Woke up and had a look through the window…. heavy showers, wind, cold, wet, wet, wet. My guess about Fall presenting itself soon has become the truth. It’s very bad out there. On last Sunday still 24 degrees, people in the streets having a good summer afternoon, only two days later now: 11 degrees terribly cold. Holland 2007 didn’t bring us a well deserved and lasting summer. I remember someone told me last year that The Netherlands is a perfect place for him concerning the weather and that summer always brings us great conditions…. he should know better! The main reason for me if I decide to leave Holland would be the weather!!! ——–  Anyway, let’s have a good time today. Leaving for work in about one hour; yesterday my iMac presentations resulted in very happy customers leaving the store with their new iMac. Did you already have a look @ the new iMac ?

As happy as I am with the new iPod Nano series , there’s something that bothers me and customers at the moment. It seems there’s this series shipped where the screen of the new iPod Nano’s DISPLAY isn’t 100% ’straight’…. Goes ‘up’ on the right side. ” Houston, we’ve got a problem! ”  Upcoming week, time for phone calls & research. Just to be sure how to proceed. Watch this space.

Boiling eggs and making coffee this morning: Sunday in Rotterdam - FULL sunshine and a clear blue sky - temperatues will rise till 24 degrees centigrade - will be leaving the house around 10:45AM for….work! It has been a long time since I’ve been working on a Sunday. Experiencing the ‘Koopzondag’ in the Apple Shop today to see how many customers will enter the store. Probably a one-time thing for me as I prefer not to work on Sunday’s….

Slept like 12 hours this night; it has been a roller coaster since thursday afternoon. The appointment with the Sales Manager from Apple was a good one. After the chat (in the new shop being built) I assisted with installing all Macs. In short: finished around 02:00 AM! Got into my bed around 03:30 AM while the alarm clock was set to 07:30 AM…. started Friday morning at 09:30 AM in The Hague: my first day as Apple Solutions Consultant, the shop manager for the shop-in-shop formula. It’s fun to do! Except for the fact my car has to be parked in the public parking garage and this is like 5 euro’s per hour….. nobody has thought of that it seems so my goal is to find a solution for that. Perhaps travelling by train from Rotterdam to The Hague is better. Anyway, upcoming week is going to be ‘Gekkenhuis’, meaning: crazy week with far too many hours for a human being to learn, observe and process. Apple training in Bunnik (Holland) on wednesday. Presentations in shop real soon Stay tuned for further reports.

Preparing for appointment @ the new Apple Shop in The Hague. The shop will open tomorrow and I’ve got this appoinment with the Benelux sales manager from Apple. After the assessment last week, the presentation, the role plays and the review, the Apple manager wants to see me in person this afternoon around 1700 PM. More details will follow;-)

Good morning all, just a few minutes ago we published the beta version of the new Spacemusic website. We love the site! All info is simply there. We noticed some buttons that need to be corrected. As I said, it’s a Beta version It will take another couple of days to tweak the pages. Anything you bump into and does not work? Shoot an e-mail to the Gmail account. Thanks for your patience!

To picture the situation here in Rotterdam: I’m in the middle of this job interview with Apple. Last week on Thursday I had to do the assessment day: do a presentation, interview, role play and a review. In short: my presentation @ Apple’s happens to be the best one they’ve seen in Europe so far… Ooops! My guess is this presentation thing is going to play an important role in my life and I like it. I’m ready for the final phase of this job interview…. an offer! I can expect an offer from Apple very soon. Probably this week. It’s all about becoming an Apple Solutions Consultant. I’m totally excited about it!!! I’ll keep you informed as several other exciting interviews are part of these days .Now, let me continou this Tuesday Today, sunshine, 15 degrees Celsius after a long night with lots of rain/showers. Fall is presenting itself I think within 2 weeks from now.

Today I found out that ‘achterklep’ doesn’t close anymore. In English: the trunk is kind of broken I don’t know what to do about this so I’ll drive to another garage today. Let me grab the mic and inform you via audio file later on…. nice huh?
