Native American Music Award winner, and three time nominee, Scott August is a nationally acclaimed composer, producer, keyboardist and Native American flute player know for his forays into World Music. His music has been featured on the nationally syndicated NPR radio shows “Hearts of Space” and “Echoes”. One of the most influential Native American flute players working today, August was a headline performer at the 2006 and 2007 Zion Canyon Flute Festival. He is also known for his detailed knowledge of the Native American flute. In July 2005 he opened for Dr. Wayne Dyer at the International New Age Trade Show and he was a musical guest at the 2005 TED conference. August has also composed music and sound design for hundreds of films, commercials and video projects, for clients such as NASA, The Discovery Channel, Lexus, Chevrolet, HBO, Nabisco, and Minolta. The Los Angeles Times has called his music “shimmering and luminous.”

24 Mar 10 Jukebox #49 Eleon - Autumn Leaves in Motion
Eleon’s real name is Michael Leon Rogers. Michael Was born in Waco, Texas in 1970. He was raised in Mesquite Texas and lived there for 30 years. He came from a home of loving parents that taught him the value of hard work and endurance. Back in 1998, Michael and his friend, graphic designer James Forbs, created Michael’s Eleon name and logo from his middle name, Leon. Even though he has composed music under his real name, Eleon seems to be the name people remember and like the most. Michael, moved back to Waco, Texas and in February 2008 he was given that opportunity to compose the music of his dreams with an Apple iMac and some software. “I now feel that I can compose the way I want to with only a little inconvenience, as my iMac has limited ram and can barely give me the quality and sound I want,” he laughs.
Today Michael is still creating new music under Eleon. The Centuria album counts one hundred tracks of pure quality fantasy music and is available here at Spacmusic.nl: For just $29.99 the album is yours and we bet you’ll play it over and over again! The Fresh Air! Lounge Series transfer is complete. The new site is now part of Spacemusic as a sub domain. The lounge series podcast, which once started in february 2007, is available via a new site, the podcast is online via a new feed. We had to remove the old podcast from the iTunes Store to safe us from errors and complicated re-directs and scripts. We’ve added the new Fresh Air! at the same time to the iTunes Store which went rather well and very easy to be honest … all things have been fixed within 2 days. Splendid! Now what does it mean for our listeners….
Please visit http://freshair.spacemusic.nl and follow the arrows of your choice. You can’t miss it. iTunes users can subscribe again for free to the new Fresh Air! podcast feed. There’s also a link to the new RSS feed. And you can even follow Fresh Air! on Twitter.

Sleepy Town Manufacture are one of the first participants of the astonishing invasion of russian electronica into the western world. The band was founded in 1999 by Roman Komarov, Anton Lukoyanychev and Alexander Ananyev. Alexander also produces a unspeakably warm ambient under the name Beautumn.
The Jukebox plays Enjoy The Silence - the Sleepy shows his skills remix - in one word: one of the coolest remixes we’ve ever heard of this song! Again… Depeche Mode as a source of inspiration. Where did we see that before?… Oh, and we really don’t know where you can get the track to be honest. As far as we know, it’s not for sale anyway, so, enjoy the silence.

01 Mar 10 Jukebox #43 HIA/Biosphere - Cimmerian Shaft
Jukebox LS edition: Tromso, 70 degrees north, in the Arctic region, in the middle of the most active northern lights zone. In summer time, land of the midnight sun. In winter, total darkness.
In October 1995, as part of the annual Polar Music Festival, Geir Jenssen of Biosphere and Bobby Bird of the Higher Intelligence Agency, were commissioned by Nor Concerts to collaborate together on a musical project to take place in Geir’s home town of Tromso, Norway. The brief was for them to perform three concerts, using sounds sourced from the area as the basis of the music - the machinery of the local mountain cable lift, the snow, the ice etc…
The performances from which this recording is taken, took place on top of a mountain above Tromso, in a cabin reached by the cable car, in which the audience were transported up the mountain in turn.
First release: 1996 on Beyond, limited edition 5000 pieces. Reissue: 2003 on Headphone. The Jukebox plays with kind permission of (HIA) Bobby Bird (that’s so cool!!!!) the opening track ‘Cimmerian Shaft’ which sets the tone for this album, a musthave in your ambient collection. Probably one of the best releases ever in the genre: Polar Sequences.
