Yes, we break the new record by Helpling and Jenkins: The Crossing is on! This 11 track album is one of the best we’ve heard so far in 2010 in this genre…. excellent ambient/soundtrack files by two musicians who know what they’re doing: grabbing us and showing us around in their world. Official release: september 14th 2010. On this podcast two tracks from the album; seamlessly mixed so you won’t hear a ’skip’ or ‘edit point’ - it’s done LIVE. This file is compresssed to 320Kbps MP3 format. You should play it loud! Have a listen and please post your comment/feedback right here at our site. It’s an honour to air the new release this way… the modern way to open doors to new music. Thanks for listening and enjoy the show!

A self-taught musician, David’s ability to “feel” the music has resulted in captivating albums that showcase his atmospheric depth as well as his rhythmic sensibility; As a full-time composer, David has written music for several successful feature films. After several intense years of writing and producing music for film, Treasure marks David’s return to the musical form for which he is most passionate. Working side by side with Jenkins, David’s driven pursuit to create the music of his dreams is on.
As a recording artist, Jon Jenkins sees it as his responsibility to reach out, grab the listeners by the ears, drag them into another world and show them around a little bit. “I’ve always been fascinated by the ability of a good piece of music to stimulate the imagination and transport the listener to another place in their mind without ever leaving their chair.” On his new release, Treasure, Jenkins has found the perfect musical collaborator in David Helpling.
The two express their vision on an epic and expansive scale, rich in organic textures and moving passages. The combination of these two artists is explosive and limitless…The Jukebox plays a track from a limited edition: “Beyond Words” the LIVE registration of the Treasure album. It is available from the deepexile website. In one word: a m a z i n g !!! This track ‘The First Goodbye’ has a feeling of saying ‘good-bye’ knowing we will meet again. Matthew Stewart on drums and additional keyboards. Video of the rare LIVE performance on Youtube here

Early in the morning, sunshine through the window, rising temperature, birds twittering, water streaming sounds in the distance, such a peaceful start of the day…. Imagine a day on Earth. Some of us lucky enough to have it all. Some of us struggling for life without food, without water, without hope. Strange but true. From the universal point of view; we still haven’t found anything like our big blue planet. So we’re pretty much dependent on the way we treat her. Think about it when you’re escaping from the daily stress, think about it when you’re having breakfast, think about it when listening to good music. You might even get more surprised when watching the news or read a newspaper. Are we still connected with the essence of Life and our Environment? S 4.18 -Universal- shines a light on forgotten things; perhaps it can be your guide into total relaxation and contemplation.
