Back in the studio after a real cool holiday destination in the UK. After spending a week exploring the south coast of England we are ready for new podcasts like this one. It’s here… the new Fresh Air! podcast has been published as promised. You can find the podcast at our Fresh Air! Lounge Series website HERE. Podcast No.12 contains heavenly productions. Side effect is that this particular AAC file will not be picked up by the Spacemusic App cause it only reads mp3 files. SINE is the musical project of the brothers Thomas and Jochem Hauser, who produce the successful chillout-acts ‘Skysurfer’ and ‘Emotional’ featured on many popular compilations. SINE blends electronic elements with pianos, guitars and vocals to form new Chillout/Ambient collages and which immediately enchant the listener.
Their first track ‘Always’ (taken from the compilation ‘Cosmic Chill lounge vol.1′) took various radio stations worldwide by storm and climbed to high positions in several charts.
The jukebox plays a track from the new release Chillbar vol. 2 (to be released december 11th 2009). It is called ‘Time’ , performed by SINE and certainly reflects thoughts and feelings that go with the december days; building up piece by piece, vocals, ambient sounds, guitar and a beautiful piano melody takes you to unexpected places; the wide break with a heart breaking synth lead will absolutely move you and lift you off the ground….! Take your time and enjoy this track more than once.

The first Fresh Air! show was published in februari 2007…. hi-quality lounge and downtempo has been the motto since then, electronic and acoustic music from all over the world. And it has been 10 very succesful shows with tons of good music by so many talented musicians and producers. Known artists and new talents have been kocking on our doors and they still do. Last week the temperature was rising till 20 degrees Celsius – spring time in Rotterdam together with a post from Germany by our friends from Sine-Music; their new compilation album Cosmic Chill Lounge volume 3 will be released on May 1st 2009. “Spanish coffee” – Its sometimes referred to as “Mayan coffee” or “Flaming coffee”.
The ingredient list consists of the following:
- A shot of Rum
- A shot of Brandy
- Coffee
- A dash of cinnamon and nutmeg
- Sugar
- Heavy cream
- Tablespoon of Kaluha
- Lime wedge
- Whole orange for pouring Brandy
Some preparation is necessary. An un-ripened orange is peeled in a corkscrew fashion. Glass mugs are used for the coffee, and prepared by being dipped first in lime wedges, and then in sugar, to coat the rims. An ounce of Rum is added to each mug.
An ounce of Brandy is added to each glass next, but not without a show. The Brandy is added to one of two stainless-steel pouring containers. The Brandy is then lit on fire, the flaming alcohol is poured back and forth several times, and then distributed in equal amounts to each of the coffee mugs. The other half of the flaming Brandy is saved for later. A mixture of cinnamon and nutmeg are then shaken into each container, which causes sparks to fly from the still-flaming brandy. Coffee is then poured into each mug, which should extinguish the flames. A spoonful of heavy cream is then added to each container.
The remaining Brandy goes on last, but not without another fiery show. The remaining flaming Brandy is now poured down and around the corkscrew of the orange that was peeled in the first stage. Cut-up lime wedges are then placed on each serving plate.
The mugs are then placed on the serving plates with the lime wedges. A flaming tablespoon of Kahlua is set on top of each drink. Finally, the lime wedge is squeezed onto the flame just before serving, aggravating and then extinguishing the final flame just before consumption.
