After a quick dinner I decided to take my car to the Ahoy area…. it had started freezing and the last thing I wanted was, after being in the heath for at least 2 hours, catch a cold on the bike on my way back home. Hmm, one thing that was totally crazy: parking costs at the Ahoy…. they ask 11,- euros for that so I was lucky knowing Rotterdam well. In about 3 minutes from the parking area one can park for free so keep it in mind when visiting. I entered Ahoy Arena around 7:15pm. The show started a bit after 8pm. Jean-Michel entered the concert hall from the back door which was very funny! He started shaking hands with the audience, how cool’s that? I was busy with a new camera and the darn thing could not focus quick enough so I’m afraid there’s no picture of the man’s entrance…. perhaps next time.
Familiar songs, familiar sounds, amazing visuals, fantastic atmosphere! Though I have heard most of the tracks at least a thousand times Jarre and his band certainly know how to twist the songs and make them sound intriguingly fresh again. My first time hearing the Laser Harp LIVE in a concert area… it’s simply beyond any words! THE LOWWWW frequencies makes you shiver, tears and goose bumps guaranteed. And after last night I finally understand the Theremin instrument… it goes deep.
So, please do watch the video we have made out of some photos and video clips. It’s posted on Youtube, VIMEO and Blip.tv is uploading as we speak. It’s not the real DTS Master Audio but.,… it works!
Thanks for a fantastic show Jean-Michel!

Hia! How RU doing? June 10th 2009: LIVE from the Russell Square park it’s time for an overview of the London Walkabout we did today. Tube strike so the best option was to go walking. Man! I need a new pair of shoes….! Because of this tube strike there’s an enormous amount of traffic in the streets of London. Taking the bus was therefore not any good as walking was much faster. Now that I’m relaxing @ Russell Square I really appreciate the green areas in a big city like London…. There are a lot of green parks, some of them really big like Hide Park and the Kensington Gardens, some of them smaller like Russell Square and Gray’s Inn Garden. They all have one thing in common: get away from the daily stress for a few minutes, having your lunch, feeding your baby, lying down and take a nap, anything you’d like basically. After that you just carry on with what you were doing before feeling a bit refreshed now. Ah…. and one tip if you’re allergic to heavy traffic sounds: please do wear around-the-ear fit headphones with some great tunes!!! Once you wear these you’ll be amazed how many people are wearing them too, it’s cool as! ~TC
